Shasta Holistic Puppy Ranch
A non-profit approach to raising the healthiest puppies possible. Raw-fed, naturally bred, chemical-free mini Aussie and Mini Aussie/Sheepadoodle puppies in Redding, CA. These puppies are raised in a home and given holistic parasite and disease prevention, continuous enrichment and potty training on wood chips in litter boxes, then outside from their crates. We aim for our puppies to have a smooth transition to your home and family.
Puppy Season Ending Soon
We have a few remaining from our summer litters. All of our puppies are fully potty trained and crate trained and follow commands for basic manners like sit, quiet, off, and more. There are no planned litters for 2025 at this time.
Our Why
Dogs have a unique relationship with us that goes back thousands of years. There is no other relationship we have quite like the one with dogs. In honor of this sacred pairing, we endeavor to bring forth puppies with the best possible start in life.
Puppy Training
Puppies are conditioned right away not to bite, to sit nicely and potty in wood chip litter boxes.
Enrichment
Puppies are given new challenges and exposure every week to get used to many experiences and environments.
Raw Diets
Grass-fed beef from Bradley and Sons in Durham, CA, quail from our ranch, heritage pork from Red Gate Ranch in Red Bluff, CA, and Answers detailed beef formula and more.
Raw Meaty Bones
Puppies have developing jaws and teeth and need to chew! We offer raw meaty bones every single day so they can get their gnaw on.
Holistic parasite and disease prevention
We use all natural, homeopathic, herbal and nutritional methods of keeping parasites at bay and preventing Parvo and Distemper.
Crates and Pens
Puppies are penned inside and outside with several areas in and around the home to play and sleep. They transition to crates at 10 weeks.

Special Needs, Vets and Elders
We offer older, more well-trained and special temperament puppies to those that want a dog but would find it very difficult to take on the exuberance and care necessary to train a puppy. These special dogs are reserved for these folks and we take pride in being here to continue to support our special owners.
What We Do
Making Dogs Healthier and Dog Ownership Easier. Naturally Bred, Raw Fed, Intentionally Raised to be the Healthiest Fun Size Family Companions.
Healthy puppies are happy puppies, happy puppies make happy humans, and while a bunch of happy puppies running around with their happy humans may not save our troubled world, it sure would make things a lot better. That’s why we feed our puppies a nutritious, all-natural diet; train them thoroughly from an early age; and support owners with a starter kit and on-going guidance throughout their dog’s life.
Starter Kit Included
Your puppy comes with a starter kit that includes a crate and cotton mat, litter pan, raw food, treats, parasite kit, local vet exam, and more.
Life-Long Support
We’re a resource that never goes away: here to offer tips and advice both when you first get your puppy and throughout their life.
Pre-Trained Puppies
People are surprised at how well-behaved our puppies are—that’s because we work hard to train them so they can make a good impression on their furever family.
